LTM4644: Quad Output μModule DC-DC Step-Down Power Module from Analog Devices (Linear Technology)

The LTM4644, originally launched by Linear Technology (now part of Analog Devices), is a compact quad-channel μModule® step-down DC/DC regulator. This all-in-one power module integrates the controller, power MOSFETs, inductor and compensation circuitry inside a small BGA package, greatly simplifying multi-rail power supply design for FPGA, ASIC, processor and industrial embedded systems.

Housed in a 15mm × 9mm BGA package, the LTM4644 provides four independent power channels. Each channel delivers 4A continuous output current (5A peak). Users can also parallel multiple channels to achieve up to 16A total output for high-current power rails. The input voltage ranges from 4V to 14V (2.375V ~14V with external bias), while the output voltage is adjustable between 0.6V and 5.5V.

Only a small number of external ceramic capacitors and feedback resistors are required for operation. It drastically reduces PCB layout workload and shortens product development cycle for hardware engineers.
